“DOES GOD REALLY CARE WHAT
YOU WEAR?”
SCRIPTURE READING: MATTHEW
22:1-14
SCRIPTURE READING: MATTHEW
22:12
And he smith unto him,
Friend, how calmest thou in hither not having a
wedding garment? And he was speechless.
INTRO: Does clothes
really make a person?
How did you dress when you
were looking for a job?
For us of the older generation
we took a lot of care how we dressed when job
hunting.
Today, it is a totally
different story.
Today casual dress is the
thing.
Yet, even today, how we dress
is very important.
How you dress depends on who
you are trying to impress.
How does God feel about how we
dress?
1 SAMUEL 16:7 But the
Lord said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance,
or on the height of his stature; because I have
refused him: for the Lord seethe not as man seethe;
for man looked on the outward appearance, but the
Lord looked on the heart.
Too often we are more
concerned with how a person dresses on the outside
then how they are in the inside.
MATTHEW 23:25 (GW) "How
horrible it will be for you, scribes and Pharisees!
You hypocrites! You clean the outside of cups and
dishes. But inside they are full of greed and
uncontrolled desires.”
God is very concerned how we
are dressed but His concern is with the spiritual
not the physical.
I. SIN BROUGHT ABOUT THE NEED
FOR CLOTHING.
GENESIS 3:7-10 And the
eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that
they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together,
and made themselves aprons. And they heard the
voice of the Lord God walking in the garden in the
cool of the day: and Adam and his wife
hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God
amongst the trees of the garden. And
the Lord God called unto Adam, and said unto him,
Where art thou? And he said, I heard thy voice in
the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked;
and I hid myself.
NOTE: Until the Fall, man
was clothed with the righteousness of God and needed
no other covering.
Since the Fall man has always
sought to cover his sins by some artificial
means.
-
Cain may have
buried his brother Abel.
-
Achan buried the
gold, silver and garment under the floor of his
tent.
-
Saul, the king,
sought to disguise himself when seeking a witch.
-
Ahab disguised
himself when he went into battle.
None of these worked
because we cannot hide our sins by human endeavor.
ISAIAH 64:6 but we are
all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses
are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf;
and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us
away.
We think by hiding our sins
for others we can hide our sins from God.
ILL: The Emperor’s New
Clothes.
After our greatest
effort to hide our sins, we stand naked before God.
II. GOD HAS PREPARED FOR US
THE CLOTHING WE NEED.
ZECHARIAH 3:1-5 And he
shewed me Joshua the high priest standing before the
angel of the Lord, and Satan standing at his right
hand to resist him. And the Lord said unto Satan,
The Lord rebuke thee, O Satan; even the Lord that
hath chosen Jerusalem rebuke thee: is not this a
brand plucked out of the fire? Now Joshua was
clothed with filthy garments, and stood before the
angel. And he answered and spake unto those that
stood before him, saying, Take away the filthy
garments from him. And unto him he said, Behold, I
have caused thine iniquity to pass from thee, and I
will clothe thee with change of raiment. And I
said, Let them set a fair mitre upon his head. So
they set a fair mitre upon his head, and clothed him
with garments. And the angel of the Lord stood by.
NOTE: God knew that we
were incapable of covering our sins so He provided a
covering for us.
GENESIS 3:21 Unto Adam
also and to his wife did the Lord God make coats of
skins, and clothed them.
NOTE: The clothing God
gives us goes far beyond covering our sins; it
removes our sins from us.
JOHN 1:29 The next day
John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold
the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the
world.
PSALM 103:12 As far as
the east is from the west, so far hath he removed
our transgressions from us.
HEBREWS 10:17 And their
sins and iniquities will I remember no more.
EZEKIEL 33:11 Say unto
them, As I live, saith the Lord God, I have no
pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the
wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye
from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of
Israel?
God wants us dressed in the
righteousness that He has provided through the
death, burial and resurrection of His Son, Jesus
Christ.
When the prodigal son returned
to his father he was clothed in a new robe and his
son ship was restored.
LUKE 15:22 But the
father said to his servants, Bring forth the
best robe, and put it on him; and put a ring
on his hand, and shoes on his feet:
God has provided us with the
BEST clothing that will allow us to
come into His presence.
ISAIAH 52:1 Awake,
awake; put on thy strength, O Zion; put on thy
beautiful garments, O Jerusalem, the holy city: for
henceforth there shall no more come into thee the
uncircumcised and the unclean.
ISAIAH 61:10 I will
greatly rejoice in the Lord, my soul shall be joyful
in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments
of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of
righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with
ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her
jewels.
Consider the promises God has
given us in the Book of Revelation.
REVELATION 3:5 He that
overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white
raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the
book of life, but I will confess his name before my
Father, and before his angels.
REVELATION 3:18 I
counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire,
that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that
thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy
nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with
eyesalve, that thou mayest see.
REVELATION 4:4 And
round about the throne were four and twenty seats:
and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders
sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on
their heads crowns of gold.
REVELATION 7:9 After
this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no
man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and
people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and
before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms
in their hands;
REVELATION 19:7-8 Let
us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for
the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath
made herself ready. And to her was granted that she
should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white:
for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.
CONCLUSION: What are you
wearing? The filthy garments of self-righteousness
or the White Raiment’s of God’s righteousness.

“WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO
DOWITH THE WINNING TICKET?
SCRIPTURE READING: II SAMUEL
7:8-9, 16, 18-29
SCRIPTURE TEXT: PROVERBS
11:24-26
There is one who scatters,
yet increases all the more, and there is one who
withholds what is justly due, but it results only in
want. The generous man will be prosperous, and he
who waters will himself be watered. He who withholds
grain, the people will curse him, but blessing will
be on the head of him who sells it.
INTRO: What would you do
if you held the winning ticket for the largest
lottery ever held?
Sue Thomas F B Eye.
Jack said, “I am so lucky, I feel like I have won
the Lottery”. Sue replied, “You are not lucky, you
are blessed.”
In the Scripture reading,
David realized just how blessed he was.
Have you recognized the
blessings of God in your life?
JAMES 1:17 Every good
gift and every perfect gift is from above, and
cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is
no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
All of us who have experienced
the Grace of Jesus Christ hold the greatest lottery
ticket available.
The question we must ask
ourselves is, “What are we doing with the ticket God
has blessed us with?”
What we do with the winning
ticket God has given to us is answered by the
question, “What is the motive behind our service to
God?”
I. MOTIVE FOR SERVICE TO
GOD.
NOTE: There are three
motives why people serve God that we want to
consider today:
-
Fear
-
Self-indulgences
-
Gratitude
A. FEAR
NOTE: There are many who
serve God out of fear.
ILL: The Fearful Servant
MATTHEW 25:24-30 Then
he which had received the one talent came and said,
Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping
where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou
hast not strawed: and I was afraid, and went and hid
thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is
thine. His lord answered and said unto him, Thou
wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I
reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not
strawed: thou oughtest therefore to have put my
money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I
should have received mine own with usury. Take
therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him
which hath ten talents. For unto every one that
hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance:
but from him that hath not shall be taken away even
that which he hath. And cast ye the unprofitable
servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping
and gnashing of teeth.
There is very little joy in
serving God when fear is our motive.
1 JOHN 4:18 There is no
fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear:
because fear hath
torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
We will not serve God
properly if our motivation is fear.
When we serve God out of fear
everything depends upon us, what we do or don’t do.
When we serve God out of fear
there are several things that are lacking in our
lives.
If we serve God out of fear we
have not come into a proper understanding of His
Grace.
B. SELF-INDULGENCES (Greed)
LUKE 12:13-21 And one
of the company said unto him, Master, speak to my
brother, that he divide the inheritance with me.
And he said unto him, Man, who made me a judge or a
divider over you? And he said unto them, Take heed,
and beware of covetousness: for a man's life
consisteth not in the abundance of the things which
he possesseth. And he spake a parable unto them,
saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought
forth plentifully: and he thought within himself,
saying, What shall I do, because I have no room
where to bestow my fruits? And he said, This will I
do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater;
and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods.
And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much
goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat,
drink, and be merry. But God said unto him, Thou
fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee:
then whose shall those things be, which thou hast
provided? So is he that layeth up treasure for
himself, and is not rich toward God.
NOTE: There are those who
seek to serve God for only what they can get out of
it.
Those who serve God out of
selfish motives, feel that they deserve God’s
blessings and not that they receive them through His
Grace.
When we serve God out of
selfish motives we have no compassion or concern for
the needs of others.
EZEKIEL 34:17-19 And as
for you, O my flock, thus saith the Lord God;
Behold, I judge between cattle and cattle, between
the rams and the he goats. Seemeth it a small thing
unto you to have eaten up the good pasture, but ye
must tread down with your feet the residue of your
pastures? and to have drunk of the deep waters, but
ye must foul the residue with your feet? And as for
my flock, they eat that which ye have trodden with
your feet; and they drink that which ye have fouled
with your feet.
MATTHEW 25:41-46 Then
shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart
from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared
for the devil and his angels: for I was an hungred,
and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave
me no drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me not
in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in
prison, and ye visited me not. Then shall they also
answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an
hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or
sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?
Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto
you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least
of these, ye did it not to me. And these shall go
away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous
into life eternal.
C.
SERVING GOD OUT OF
GRATITUDE.
PSALM 103:1-5 A Psalm of
David.
Bless the Lord, O my soul:
and all that is within me, bless his holy name.
Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his
benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; Who
healeth all thy diseases; Who redeemeth thy life
from destruction; who crowneth thee with
lovingkindness and tender mercies; Who satisfieth
thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is
renewed like the eagle's.
NOTE: When we consider all
the different ways God has blessed us, how can our
heart not be filled with gratitude towards Him.
A heart filled with gratitude
will cause us to do right with the winning ticket He
has given us:
1.
Praise God and give Him
credit for all that we have.
2.
Seek to live a life that
is pleasing to Him and that will bring Him glory and
honor.
3.
We will seek to share the
blessings He have given to us with others so that
they too might come to experience His Grace and
love.
ILL: Jay and Mary Warner
in Pinedale, Wyoming.
4.
We will support to work of
the local church in order to work together to
further the Kingdom of God.
5.
We will serve God
faithfully in spite of the circumstances that may
surround us.
NOTE: When we serve God
out of gratitude we don’t withhold our service just
because we don’t like what might be going on.
JOB 2:10 But he said
unto her, Thou speakest as one of the foolish women
speaketh. What? shall we receive good at the hand of
God, and shall we not receive evil? In all this did
not Job sin with his lips.
CONCLUSION: The
question we must ask ourselves is; “Why am I serving
God?”
We will find the answer by
what we do with the winning ticket He has given us.

“FINDING HOPE IN THE MIDST
OF HOPELESSNESS”
SCRIPTURE READING: MARK
5:25-34
SCRIPTURE TEXT: HEBREWS
6:18-19
So God has given us both
his promise and his oath. These two things are
unchangeable because it is impossible for God to
lie. Therefore, we who have fled to him for refuge
can take new courage, for we can hold on to his
promise with confidence.
This confidence is like a
strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls. It
leads us through the curtain of heaven into God's
inner sanctuary.
INTRO: Each one of us, at
one time or another will experience a time of
hopelessness.
It may last for only a moment
or it may last for many years.
·
Death
·
Sickness
·
Divorce or separation
·
Financial ruin
·
Family problems
The question is; when we find
ourselves in a hopeless situation, where can we find
the hope that will provide us the strength and will
to go on?
There are many who seek to
cover up the hopelessness in their lives instead of
seeking the One who free them from their
hopelessness.
-
Drugs
-
Alcohol
-
Sex
-
Activities
(legal and illegal)
-
Suicide
Let us consider this woman who
seemed to be in a hopeless state.
I. SHE WAS A WOMAN
NOTE: In Jesus’ day,
women were not given the respect that they deserved
in society; women were considered secondary in the
culture.
People
who are facing seemly hopeless situations often have
low self esteem.
One of
the biggest problems facing those who are in a
seemly hopeless situation is that the feel unworthy
to go to God for help.
The Prodigal Son:
LUKE 15:18-19 I will arise and go to my
father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned
against heaven, and before thee, and am no more
worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy
hired servants.
II. SHE HAD BEEN SUFFERING FOR
TWELVE YEARS
NOTE: The longer you are
in a negative situation the more hopeless you feel.
PSALM 13:1-2 How long
wilt thou forget me, O Lord? for ever? how long wilt
thou hide thy face from me? How long shall I take
counsel in my soul, having sorrow in my heart daily?
how long shall mine enemy be exalted over me?
Think of Joseph, thirteen
years as a slave and prisoner, what kept him from
becoming totally discouraged? his faith in the
promises of God.
HEBREWS 13:5 Let your
conversation be without covetousness; and be content
with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I
will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
We must not allow the spirit
of hopelessness over take us; we must be willing to
trust God even during the difficult times.
III. HER SITUATION MAKE HER
UNCLEAN
LEVITICUS 15:19-27 (19, 25) And
if a woman have an issue, and her issue in her flesh
be blood, she shall be put apart seven days: and
whosoever toucheth her shall be unclean until the
even…And if a woman have an issue of her blood many
days out of the time of her separation, or if it run
beyond the time of her separation; all the days of
the issue of her uncleanness shall be as the days of
her separation: she shall be unclean.
NOTE: She was totally
ostracized from the outside world.
When we feel hopeless
we feel all alone, no one cares about us and that we
are rejected even from our family and friends.
PSALM 142:4 I looked on
my right hand, and beheld, but there was no man that
would know me: refuge failed me; no man cared for my
soul.
IV. SHE HAD TRIED EVERY HUMAN
MEANS POSSIBLE
MARK 5:26 And had
suffered many things of many physicians, and had
spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered,
but rather grew worse,
NOTE: Man has tremendous
abilities to help but man’s ability is limited and
comes to an end; that is when God enters the
picture.
There are those who have tried
everything but things only become worse.
ISAIAH 41:28-29 For I
beheld, and there was no man; even among them, and
there was no counsellor, that, when I asked of them,
could answer a word. Behold, they are all vanity;
their works are nothing: their molten images are
wind and confusion.
EZEKIEL 22:30 And I
sought for a man among them, that should make up the
hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land,
that I should not destroy it: but I found none.
V. SHE HAD HEARD OF JESUS BUT
EVEN HE SEEMED
UNAPPROACHABLE
-
There was the Law of
Uncleanness
There are certain churches
that have standards to keep the undesirables out.
-
There was a great
crowd between her and Jesus
Too often we allow others to
keep us from Jesus:
We worry about what
they may think.
We worry about how
they may react.
There are others who
would seek to keep us from Jesus.
-
She was in a weaken
condition
Her heart may have told her to
go to Jesus but her mind said that she was unable to
do so.
-
Jesus was
ministering to an important religious leader
Why would Jesus stop to
minister to her when there was an important church
leader that demanded His attention?
VI. SHE HAD REACHED
DESPERATION
NOTE: Desperate situations
call for desperate measures.
She wouldn’t allow the rules
and religious regulations keep her from coming to
Jesus.
She wouldn’t allow the threats
or opinions of others keep her from coming to
Jesus.
VII. SHE RECEIVED HER HEALING
BUT WAS FILLED WITH FEAR
MARK 5:33 But the woman
fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her,
came and fell down before him, and told him all the
truth.
NOTE: What caused her to
be fearful?
She had to expose
herself and admit her true condition.
1 JOHN 1:9 If we
confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive
us our sins, and to cleanse us from all
unrighteousness.
MATTHEW 10:32 Whosoever
therefore shall confess me before men, him will I
confess also before my Father which is in heaven.
ROMANS 10:9-10 That if
thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus,
and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath
raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For
with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and
with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
VIII. JESUS SPOKE WORDS OF
HOPE AND ASSURANCE TO HER
MARK 5:34
And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath
made thee hole; go in peace, and be whole of thy
plague.
CONCLUSION: When we are faced with a seemly
hopeless situation we must remember that trying hard
is not that answers.
Trying
harder will never be enough.
Looking
to man will never bring us the victory we are
seeking.
We must
come to Jesus in faith, willing to set aside our
fears and put our trust in Him and Him alone.

“THE CROSS: A SYMBOL OF
HATRED AND LOVE”
SCRIPTURE READING: I
CORINTHIANS 1:18-24
SCRIPTURE TEXT: 1 CORINTHIANS
1:18
For the preaching of the
cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto
us which are saved it is the power of God.
NOTE: There are three
major attitudes towards the Cross:
-
Indifference (the
cross holds no significance towards God)
-
Hatred
-
Love
It was during the
Battle of the Milvian Bridge, that Constantine
reportedly saw a cross in the sky with the words,
“Conquer by this”.
From the time of Constantine,
the Cross has been the symbol of Christianity.
When you look at the cross, what
thoughts go through your mind?
I. THE CROSS: A SYMBOL OF
HATRED.
A. HATRED OF MAN TOWARDS GOD
ALL THAT IS HOLY.
NOTE: There are many today
who hate the cross and everything it stands for.
JOHN 7:7 The world
cannot hate you; but me it hateth, because I testify
of it, that the works thereof are evil.
The closer that which is holy
come to that which is un-holy, the more repulsive
that which is un-holy becomes.
It was the hatred of the
religious leaders of Jesus’ day, towards the
teachings and workings of Jesus Christ which,
brought the cross into it prominence.
The KKK used the cross as a
symbol of hatred towards Blacks.
·
They do not want God to
rule over them.
LUKE 19:14 But his
citizens hated him, and sent a message after him,
saying, We will not have this man to reign over us.
·
They hate God without a
cause except their own willfulness.
JOHN 15:25 But this
cometh to pass, that the word might be fulfilled
that is written in their law, They hated me without
a cause.
·
They hate those who
follow Christ.
JOHN 15:18-19 If the
world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it
hated you. If ye were of the world, the world would
love his own: but because ye are not
of the world, but I have chosen you out of the
world, therefore the world hateth you.
B. HATRED OF GOD TOWARDS THE
SIN OF MAN.
·
Sin is against the
Nature of God
PSALM 5:4 For thou art
not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness: neither
shall evil dwell with thee.
HABAKKUK 1:13 Thou art
of purer eyes than to behold evil, and canst not
look on iniquity: wherefore lookest thou upon them
that deal treacherously, and holdest thy tongue when
the wicked devoureth the man that is more righteous
than he?
·
All sin is an
abomination to God
PROVERBS 6:16-19 These
six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an
abomination unto him: a proud look, a lying tongue,
and hands that shed innocent blood, an heart that
deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in
running to mischief, a false witness that speaketh
lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.
PROVERBS 15:8-9, 26 The
sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the
Lord: but the prayer of the upright is his delight.
The way of the wicked is an abomination unto the
Lord: but he loveth him that followeth after
righteousness…The thoughts of the wicked are an
abomination to the Lord: but the words of the pure
are pleasant words.
·
False worship is
especially abominable unto God.
ISAIAH 43:24 Thou hast
bought me no sweet cane with money, neither hast
thou filled me with the fat of thy sacrifices: but
thou hast made me to serve with thy sins, thou hast
wearied me with thine iniquities.
JEREMIAH 44:4 Howbeit I
sent unto you all my servants the prophets, rising
early and sending them, saying, Oh, do not this
abominable thing that I hate…The incense that ye
burned in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of
Jerusalem, ye, and your fathers, your kings, and
your princes, and the people of the land, did not
the Lord remember them, and came it not into his
mind? So that the Lord could no longer bear,
because of the evil of your doings, and because of
the abominations which ye have committed; therefore
is your land a desolation, and an astonishment, and
a curse, without an inhabitant, as at this day.
·
Sin separates God from
those He created to love.
ISAIAH 59:1-2 Behold,
the Lord's hand is not shortened, that it cannot
save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:
but your iniquities have separated between you and
your God, and your sins have hid his face from you,
that he will not hear.
II. THE CROSS: A SYMBOL OF
LOVE.
NOTE: Because of God’s
hatred for sin, He made the penalty for sin death.
GENESIS 2:17 But of the
tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt
not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest
thereof thou shalt surely die.
EZEKIEL 18:20 The soul
that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear
the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father
bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of
the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness
of the wicked shall be upon him.
ROMANS 6:23 For the
wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is
eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
A. THE LOVE OF GOD FOR
FALLEN MAN.
JOHN 3:16-17 For God so
loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son,
that whosoever believeth in him should not perish,
but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son
into the world to condemn the world; but that the
world through him might be saved.
ROMANS 5:8 But God
commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we
were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
EPHESIANS 2:4-5 But
God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love
wherewith he loved us, even when we were dead in
sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by
grace ye are saved;)
1 JOHN 3:1 Behold, what
manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us,
that we should be called the sons of God: therefore
the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
JEREMIAH 31:3 The Lord
hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have
loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with
loving kindness have I drawn thee.
B. THE LOVE OF REDEEMED MAN
FOR GOD.
PSALM 31:23 O love the
Lord, all ye his saints: for the Lord preserveth the
faithful, and plentifully rewardeth the proud doer.
1 JOHN
4:19 We love him, because he first loved us.
NOTE: It is the worship of
those who truly love the Lord that is acceptable.
ISAIAH 56:6-7 Also the
sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the
Lord, to serve him, and to love the name of the
Lord, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the
Sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my
covenant; even them will I bring to my holy
mountain, and make them joyful in my house of
prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices
shall be accepted upon mine altar; for mine house
shall be called an house of prayer for all people.
Our love for God is a growing
love that will only completely mature when we reach
heaven.
PHILIPPIANS 1:9 And
this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and
more in knowledge and in all judgment;
NOTE: If we truly love God
we will hate what He hates and that is sin.
PSALM 97:10 Ye that
love the Lord, hate evil…
CONCLUSION: The question I
